Compost Site will be closed April 3 - April 5th due to the weather.
The compost site is open for the 2026 season!
The hours of operation are as follows:
Monday - Friday: 11:00am - 7:00pm
Saturday: 800am - 4:00pm
Sundays & Holidays: Closed
The compost site is extremely weather dependent. We ask for understanding when we close the site due to weather conditions.

The City of Litchfield will be conducting its annual City-Wide Clean-Up event on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Below is the information regarding city-wide clean-up eligibility.
Those who are disabled or over 75 years of age (proof required) that would like to request curbside pickup need to stop by City Hall and complete a Recycling Material Pick up Form and pay the $25 fee by 5:30pm on Monday, May 11, 2026.
